Whangamata Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent Quality Investigation
TCDC (Thames-Coromandel District Council) owns and manages the Whangamatā wastewater treatment plant.
Between 2022 and 2023, the wastewater treatment plant experienced a decline in treated wastewater effluent quality. Therefore, TCDC engaged GWE to investigate the source of the wastewater quality deterioration.
GWE combined past operational experiences and deductive reasoning to list all the potential sources of problems efficiently. Through comprehensive data analysis, we validated our findings and provided actionable items.
