Gareth’s role involves detailed treatment and disposal options studies, assessment of environmental effects, client liaison, resource consent applications, and project implementation. He specialises in innovative on-site and decentralised system design for small community

Colin Cranfield
Technical Director
At a technical level Colin advises clients on asset development strategies and the design, consenting and construction phases of stormwater, water and wastewater projects for council and developer clients.
At a project level, Colin manages multi-party inputs to meet client and project demands. He monitors project quality procedures to ensure that work is undertaken by the appropriate staff, that project systems are followed, and peer reviews are completed. He provides advice on contractual risk on large projects.

Robin Dawson
Technical Director
Management of complex civil engineering projects is a particular skill of Robin, where he brings his practical and hands-on approach into play to simplify and streamline arrangements for faster and easier construction with fewer issues and delays.
More recently Robin has returned to focus on specialist geotechnical engineering for residential, land development, subdivision, and commercial projects. He enjoys mentoring our geotechnical team and sharing his project experience with solving difficult situations.

Tobias Francis
Technical Director/Geotechnical Manager
New Zealand Geotechnical Society (NZGS). After graduating from University of Auckland with a master’s degree, he worked as a mining tenement consultant before joining the geotechnical profession in 2013.
Tobias’ experience covers a wide range of geotechnical engineering areas with a particular focus on residential, light commercial and industrial projects and subdivisions.
