PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A S Wilcox and Sons Ltd was established in 1954 and has continued to grow and market potatoes, onions and carrots ever since, becoming an integral part of New Zealand’s agricultural industry.
For the Pukekohe site, GWE was retained by the company to obtain resource consents for the treatment and disposal of process wash water, domestic wastewater and stormwater.
GWE carried out the investigation and design of the domestic wastewater treatment and land disposal scheme using sub-surface drippers, we carried out a process review
and upgrade to the wash water treatment process utilising pond technology and spray irrigation and we designed a stormwater treatment (wet) pond for run-off from all impervious areas from the site.
GWE prepared the assessment of environmental effects from the activities and successfully applied for resource consents for wastewater and stormwater activities on site.
