PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Stonyridge Vineyard operates in a sensitive island environment on Waiheke, without access to a public wastewater network. All wastewater generated on site must be treated and managed locally.
GWE assessed seasonal wastewater volumes and variable strength associated with viticulture and hospitality operations, alongside the proximity of sensitive soils, groundwater and coastal receiving environments.
We developed a fit-for-purpose on-site treatment and land disposal solution sized for peak loads and integrated with day-to-day site operations. GWE also completed engineering certification and sign-off to support compliance.
The outcome is a system that achieves the required treatment performance, provides resilience through peak seasonal demand, and supports long-term, compliant operation – protecting public health and Waiheke’s natural systems.
