PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Heke Brewery generates wastewater from brewing operations alongside hospitality loads. On Waiheke, there is no public sewer network to rely on, so wastewater must be fully managed on site.
GWE characterised variable wastewater volumes and strength driven by production cycles and visitor demand, with stringent environmental expectations in a coastal island setting.
We designed a robust on-site treatment system sized for peak conditions and integrated it with the site’s operations and layout. GWE also completed engineering certification and sign-off to support compliance.
The result is a dependable system that delivers compliant discharge and resilience during peak loads – enabling business growth without compromising Waiheke’s environmental values.
