Senior Stormwater Engineer

The Company is a niche provider of bespoke 3 waters, geotechnical, contaminated land management and land development engineering services throughout New Zealand.

In line with our updated business plans we have a terrific opportunity for an experienced senior stormwater engineer who will occupy a key role in the business which will include a blend of technical and client facing activities.

Your Role

You will have overall responsibility for the investigation, analysis, design and delivery of stormwater projects in urban and rural settings and focused on flood management, “at source” stormwater management and the design of collection, attenuation, conveyance systems and stormwater treatment facilities. You will also work closely with our geotechnical engineers and to develop integrated engineering solutions for complex sites.

Your personal attributes will include;

  • Specialist stormwater engineering skills
  • Strong GIS and flood modelling skills (QGIS and HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, would be advantageous)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful client relationship management experience
  • The ability to prepare winning proposals
  • An interest in mentoring staff

About You

You will have;

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent level tertiary education
  • You must have worked within New Zealand and be familiar with the local market and have current rights/visa to be employed in New Zealand
  • 8+ years’ experience with the design and delivery of stormwater infrastructure
  • Land Development experience will be an advantage
