GWE Consulting Ltd is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hamilton based Mark T Mitchell Ltd and Geocon Geotechnical Ltd. Mark Mitchell is a pioneer of Geotechnical Engineering in the Waikato Region, having spent over 40 years successfully delivering residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout New Zealand. Mark will continue to be part of the business as it continues to grow, and had this to say about it’s exciting future.

The acquisition takes the number of GWE offices in New Zealand to 3 and the number of staff to over 50. To complement the Geotechnical Engineering offering in Hamilton and the wider Waikato Region, GWE Consulting will be offering 3 Waters, Land Development and Contaminated Land/Environmental Services.

It’s early days but already the team in Hamilton are enjoying working with a bigger more diverse team in Auckland. The new business will be known as MGG, Mitchell Geocon Geotechnical and will continue to operate out of the same office. All existing clients have been notified and all welcomed the opportunity to continue working with the team.
